Where once there were two now there are three. SafeStack has fortified the BOP stack with trusted, proven technology that is more reliable, more flexible, and more efficient. The conventional two component stack is now an enhanced three component system. All the while maintaining (and in some configurations, possibly reducing) the size of the stack. SafeStack has reduced the potential leak paths while increasing the ease of recovering the system components, and reducing the downtime required to do so.

The Safestack System features a connection system that more efficiently recovers the BOP stack components. With Safestack’s system, the marine drilling riser remains below while any stack component is recovered. As recovery depth increases, Safestack’s system drastically reduces operational downtime. Less disassembled parts means a safer, more reliable, less uncertain operation; less downtime and more production.

Greater Well Control

Safestack offers a system whereby any connector can be quickly, safely, reliably disconnected and recovered so that the module below it can receive a capping stack or reliable, lightweight, sealed dome. Well effluent is immediately recovered with little or no seawater entrainment. Dispersant need is greatly reduced.
